Support for the presentation of Lucinda Childs’s 1979 Dance as the centerpiece of the 2010 Live Arts Festival program. Dance was a signal achievement of postmodern artistic collaboration among choreographer Childs, visual artist and filmmaker Sol LeWitt, and composer Philip Glass; it influenced a wave of collaborative ventures that characterized art making across disciplines in the 1980s.
