Supported by the Center, choreographer Susan Rethorst has created a new work for Group Motion Dance Company. Group Motion will hold an informance to include an artist and audience conversation with preview performance excerpts of the piece and a panel discussion with Susan Rethorst, Manfred Fischbeck (artistic director of Group Motion), Judy Hussie-Taylor (executive director of New York's Danspace Project), Vicky Shick (choreographer) and Megan Bridge (co-director of ), moderated by Lois Welk (director of DanceUP). Following the presentation, there will be a book signing with Susan Rethorst.

perceiving the "just this"-ness reflects on the unique movement potential of the individual and embraces life's daily routines. In Rethorst's words from her essay "Dailiness," the work is about "finding each moment, holding the moment until it is perceived, keeping the accumulation of moments until something is happening, something starts to kick in—the dance begins to squeak a little interest at you."
