Leah Stein's goal during her company's year of research was to unite the traditionally separate worlds of choreography and musical composition through physical and sound explorations with singers and dancers. "I have seen singers dance and dancers sing," Stein says. "I long for the third thing: a creative process that truly merges the choreographic with the auditory."
This research project on voice and movement culminates in a a open public showing and panel discussion with Pauline Oliveros, Stuart Dempster, Leah Stein, and the research ensemble.
