Tempesta di Mare live in performance.

Tempesta di Mare – Philadelphia Baroque Orchestra presents Telemann 360º, a two-part concert program that offers audiences a renewed perspective on baroque composer Georg Philipp Telemann. The first concert features a chamber orchestra performing a ca. 1715 quartet for flute, violin, cello, and harpsichord; a quartet written ca. 1710 in a pre-Vivaldian form; and a sonata in Telemann's "mixed" style from 1733. The second program, performed by Tempesta's largest band to date, will feature two rarely-performed orchestral concertos-en-suite, along with the modern premiere of the first newly-discovered Telemann orchestral work in decades.

Commemorating the 250th anniversary of Telemann's death, Telemann 360º unravels the 18th-century composer's remarkable, yet under-appreciated craft, in an effort to revive and solidify his artistic legacy.
