Raices Culturales Latinoamericanas presented the three-day Latin Roots & Rhythms Festival in May 2011, engaging Philadelphia audiences and guest artists in a series of performances at Philadelphia's Freedom Theater and the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center. Featured over the course of the festival were 14 hours of music and dance performances, food, crafts, and workshops, representing the multicultural spirit of the neighborhoods surrounding the venues. Companies performing at the festival included Flamenco Ole with guest artist Carmela Greco, Pasión y Arte, Raices de Borinquen/Familia Rojas, and the Kùlú Mèlé African Dance and Drum Ensemble, among others.
