David La Piana’s The Nonprofit Strategy Revolution has been one of the most-discussed books in the nonprofit management field of the last few years. It proposes a radical new approach to strategic planning that is more responsive, flexible, business-oriented, and externally directed than the usual practice. But can we use it? Is it relevant to the arts and to our particular climate in Philadelphia? This is what we’ll be talking about at the next Business Books for Arts People meeting on Wednesday, July 28, here at the center at 12:30 p.m.

In this three-hour workshop, arts and online marketing specialist Vicki Allpress Hill will coach you in how to effectively plan and measure your online marketing activity to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will be introduced to best practice principles and learn how some simple changes to the way you do things can improve the results from your website, email, social media and search marketing activity.
Philadelphia Cultural Management Initiative 2010 Guidelines Rollout (Now Passed)
Philadelphia Cultural Management Initiative is launching a new grant program this year, with all-new guidelines. We will let you know about them through many different channels, including rollout meetings and “office hours” here at the center, plus an online presentation.
