Network for New Music was awarded $45,000 for Trade Winds: New Music Explores Asia, the commissioning of four new chamber works by Andrea Clearfield, Shih Hui Chen, Dai Fujikura, and Eric Moe. Their works will be premiered by the Network for New Music Ensemble under Jan Krzywicki on three concerts responding to contemporary and traditional music from Tibet, China, and Japan. The composers will speak to composition students and hold pre-concert discussions at Settlement Music School and Temple University.
