Previous Cycle: 2012 Project Grant Application Guidelines

This year’s full project grant application deadline was 5 pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2012, and has now passed.

Important:  Applicants are required to submit 4-6 audio and/or video work samples of principal project artists and repertoire at the Letter of Intent (LOI) stage.

Letters of Intent (LOIs) are evaluated by external panelists who review project descriptions and preliminary work samples, and rank LOIs according to prescreening indicators (see “Submitting a Letter of Intent to Apply” on page 14 of PMP’s 2012 Project Grant Application Guidelines [PDF]). Applicants whose projects demonstrate strong potential to meet The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage’s priorities of programmatic imagination and artistic excellence are invited in early November to submit full proposals, due in January. Accordingly, applicants must now identify and commit to projects, including principal artists and repertoire, at the LOI stage of the application process. Projects may not be substantively modified after Letters of Intent are submitted.

All applicants and projects must meet threshold eligibility criteria outlined in PMP guidelines. Prior to submitting a Letter of Intent to Apply, new applicant organizations (those who have never submitted a full application in the past) are required to submit documentation to verify that they meet eligibility criteria. Please consult with PMP staff prior to submitting an LOI to confirm project and applicant eligibility. We can be reached at 267-350-4960. See the Contact section of this website for more information about who we are and how to reach us via email.
