In advance of the September 2018 presentation of Embody the Art: Works by Tania El Khoury, Bryn Mawr College will host a conversation with El Khoury on April 14 at Twelve Gates Arts in Old City, Philadelphia.

El Khoury’s talk will focus on her works As Far As My Fingertips Take Me and Stories of Refuge, which will be presented by FringeArts as part of Embody the Art this fall, along with other autobiographical work by refugees and asylum seekers. Considering personal narratives and the politics at the intersection of public and personal space, El Khoury will reflect on the gravity of the everyday and mundane when viewed through the lens of the refugee experience.
