Group Motion Dance Company commissioned composer Phil Kline and choreographer Wally Cardona to create Revival, presented at the old Metropolitan Opera House on North Broad Street as part of the 2009 Hidden City Philadelphia Festival. Built in 1908 at the behest of Oscar Hammerstein, the building is included in the National Register of Historic Places, but has fallen into disrepair. Cardona set the dance in what was once the upper balcony and referenced the building's history as an opera house, sports arena, and church as part of the choreography, offering audiences a rare glimpse into an iconic Philadelphia landmark.
